Langley Farm Bloodhounds

The Langley Farm Bloodhounds were formed in July 2022 by a father and son team Paul and George Brewer. Hounds are kennelled at home in Feering, Essex. We are a registered pack with the Master of Draghounds and Bloodhounds Association (MBDA).  Our hounds hunt the Clean Boot; that is the scent of a human runner and nothing else (no drag or artificial scents). We call our runners “Quarry” and it is their natural scent that hounds follow. Our Runners get a 15 to 20 minutes head start from the Hounds and run on a pre-determined route, which we call 'lines'.  The lines are determined by the Landowner and the Huntsman as a partnership. We owe a huge debt of gratitude to all of our farmers and land owners, without them we would have no sport. We hunt between 3-6 lines a day depending on the time of year and stage of the season. They also vary In length.  We are a fully transparent, legal and modern pack of hounds ensuring the sound of hounds and horn will never leave the great British countryside. We look forward to welcoming all new comers to this enjoyable Equine and Hound sport.
